Gardening Software

I was using this old software made for homeowners to plan out their garden with (3D Landscape 2.0 by Sierra Home), I was very interested in 3D scenes that are designed to be looked at from a specific angle or interacted with in a specific way, and what happens when you break this (like in 3D games, if you're able to clip out of the level / intended playing area). I was also just interested in early 3D visual artefacts in general. I did some work with constructing a scene based off of a painting, without moving the camera, and then moving the camera to look at it from different angles, for me it had the quality that I see when doing boundary breaking in games/etc.

Here are the "broken" camera angles:

Another painting I copied in gardening software, a peasant scene from George Lambert, and below that some other just unrelated gardening software images, I also wrote+trained a neural network (slightly modified cycleGAN) to try to switch between the domain of gardening software screenshots and the domain of landscape paintings; which is used a lot for color/etc.

Some images I made to show a fake process for these
